Re: Tom Dogg !! I need some MLB help

Yeah...it was the same deal, but we were basically swapping Holliday (whom I LOVE...it hurt to trade him) and Berkman, with Glaus-Atkins as the undercard...

Re: Tom Dogg !! I need some MLB help

Aagh. My biggest downfall in fantasy sports is that I get emotionally attached to guys, to the point where I either refuse to trade them for anything less than A-Rod or Tomlinson, or I'll hang onto them long after they've lost any value, even when there are numerous better free agent options.

For instance, I've kept Brett Favre as my quarterback every year since our dynasty league started seven years -- which wasn't always a bad move, until the past couple. Last year I actually kept him as my UTIL guy (Carson Palmer is firmly entrenched at QB1); this year I'm keeping either Lee Evans or Andre Johnson over him.

Also: I finally moved Todd Helton this year in our baseball league, so far removed from where his value once was. Such a shame, and I still feel awful about it. He's fucking awesome.

Re: Tom Dogg !! I need some MLB help

which reminds me...Berkman is a guy who's underperformed his potential that you might want to trade for DD...a few other guys:

Richie Sexson (whom I hate as a fantasy player, but he's definitely hitting worse than you would expect him to...)

WHOA!!! Look what I just discovered: Sexson's career AVG/OBP/SLG in the first half: .247/.327/.477

Second half: .290/.372/.573

Carlos Delgado: career first half: .272/.377/.533

Second half: .292/.400/.578

Andruw Jones is playing pretty shitty right now. Might be a good "Buy Low" candidate

Adrian Beltre career first half: .260/.315/.425

2nd half: .282/.340/.493

Eric Chavez career first half: .256/.337/.464

2nd half: .287/.361/.517

Vernon Wells has averaged 28 HRs the last 5 years, only has 6 so far this year

Hope that helps...I might be able to come up with a few more players if you need more....

Yeah, Andruw is hitting like fucking .204 or some shit. Killing us. However, he's streaky as hell.. If you get him at the right time, he puts up monster numbers..

I love this, I know he's not a guy you can just say hey i want him and get him, but Johan Santana is such a second half pitcher it's not even funny, Get this, Santana is 40-4 AFTER the ASB, FOUR losses, Tell me that's not amazing?

Re: Tom Dogg !! I need some MLB help

Well I ended up making another deal today. I never even played Dye as I started Cory Hart this week over him as he kills lefties in the minors, was playing well and was facing 4 lefties this week.

So I traded Jermaine Dye ($9) and overpriced Scott Rolen ($24) for Eric Byrnes ($3), Placido Polanco ($3) and Conor Jackson ($17).

All 3 are backups but I love Byrnes style of play. I will take 15 home runs and 200 hits over 30 homeruns and 140 hits any day of the week.

Tom, those are some great numbers that you whipped up. A few of them may even be available. Especially Sexson and Berkman. They are on two of the worst teams in the league. But who do I trade? Hmmmmmmm

Eric Chavez and Sexson 1st and 2nd half numbers are so different its borderline scary.

DD's Favorite of All Times

I finally played live and it was fantastic.
