Hill spent the past seven years with the Orlando Magic . He endured numerous injuries during his tenure with the Magic and never re-gained the all-NBA status he possessed earlier in his career with the Detroit Pistons . This past season, he averaed 14.4 points per game and helped lead the young Magic to their first playoff berth in four years.

I already knew he was a good guy and someone to root for, but I really admire the fact that he's in it to win now. (This month, there have actually been borderline-NHLers signing for more money than that.)

(not only because of him, but this HAS to be their year !!)

Cornstein refused to disclose the amount of the deal, but the starting salary is believed to be for substantially more than the $5.3 million mid-level exception. "We are extremely excited for this new opportunity," Cornstein said. "Darko's going to a team that really wants him. He's going to a young team with an exciting bright future much like his own. We're very excited Darko gets to learn from coach Marc Iavaroni. We believe he's one of the best big men coaches in the game. And we couldn't be happier that he has found a new home where he's appreciated." Jakos happy ftW?

But, with the grizzles he may finally be able to show the fans and critics why he went so high in the draft. Last edited by Killswitch; 07-12-2007 at 03:43 PM. |

But, I do agree with you Jako, he did show some signs last season, but honestly, if he wants to have a career in the NBA, he's going to have to step it up this season to prove a lot of people wrong including myself. |
