Well it;s official Chauncey Billups opted out his contract, he becomes free to negotiate July 1st
And I don't think, you see the places inside me that I find you,
And I don't know, how we separate the lies here from the truth,
And I don't know, how we woke up one day somehow thought we knew,
Exactly what we're supposed to do.
So leave me, at the Roadside,
And hang me, up and out to dry,

The Wolves would receive the Hawks' numbers 3 and 11 picks in the draft as well as several cap-friendly contracts. The
Hawks would receive Amare Stoudemire. The Suns would get back Kevin Garnett.
But one of the Hawks owners vetoed the deal and it now seems unlikely that a deal will be consummated by draft time.
The ongoing litigation that has engulfed Atlanta's ownership group has apparently crippled the organization's decision-making ability
I dont know about you but I would have done that trade, if I was Atlanta atleast, you can always pick up a PG in a trade or on the FA market and not to mention they have enough project players to last a life time. The Suns get Garnett and the T-Wolves have enough Lottery Picks to get a decent team together.
Boston isn't going to do much with Allen, maybe go to the playoffs but they'll be a low seed facing the top guys. It's a good trade don't get me wrong but they just don't have the bench to take it to the finals.
But just for the record heres both big trades from the draft
Seattle trade Ray Allen to Boston for The rights to Jeff Green, Delonte West and Wally Szczerbiack
Knicks Trade Channing Frye and Steve Francis to the Trailblazers for Zach Randolph,Dan Dickau and Fred Jones
Portland got the rights to Rudy Fernandez and Petteri Koponen and Miami traded the rights to Jason Smith for Daequan Cook.
all and all, I think Trailblazer did a great job in this draft the west is really shaping up for me. Jeff Green in Seattle with Durant, Marco Belinelli on my favorite west team, Golden State and Rudy going to the Trailblazers with Oden. Should be an awesome year
EDIT: Golden State sends Jason Richardon And rights to Jermareo Davidson To The Bobcats for the rights Brandon Wright
Damn it all to fucking hell,

The Hawks did very well in this draft as expected. they'd have to be retarded to not draft the guys they did.
Seattle also did very well for themselves but I think Boston did alright.. Allen and Pierce won't win a championship but they'll breathe some life into a dead arena..
The Knicks did well to get Randolph, I'm not sure why anyone would want that asshole Francis on their team at this point but hey.. It's the Jailblazers. At least they have Oden.
Actually the general thought in that trade is that Paul Allen has enough money to buy out Steve Fracis' contract (Co-Founding Microsoft dosn't leave you broke ya know?) and that Zach was considered Replacble and some what of a head case. If Portland keeps Francis I'll be baffled as to why they would, hes no where near what Kevin Pritchard has been doing with them lately.
Still The Draft was a pretty good one now that I've had time to think about it and digest everything. Brandon Wright will be pretty good for Golden State if he pans out like he should and, as hard it is to say, Golden State probably got the better part of that trade. Not to mention they freed up money to resign players with. Marco Belinelli was a steal to in my opinion Golden State to, hes one of the most NBA ready players in the draft I'm honestly excited to see what he can do.
The Trailblazers had a great draft to, getting Oden and Rudy Fernandez (who thankfully Paul Allen can buy out so he can play in the NBA, also another steal in my opinion) alone makes it an Alright draft but they got a handfull of other prospects to go along with it to.
Even The Raps walked away with some guy that The Spurs drafted in return for a 2008 Second Draft alright
Only problem is though NBA can only offer up 500,000 to buy out a foreigners contract. I can't remember for who but it was brought for someone that they'd likley take a fews until they made it to the NBA.
Raptors sign G Jason Kapono... I guess that's the end of MoPete in Toronto

I don't want to see Mo Pete Go.... even more so when there paying Kapono 24 mill for 4 years, wtf?!
However Toronto's Rotation isn't looking to bad right now
Bargnani/Rasho
Bosh/Garbajosa/Teh Humph
Kapono/Delfino/Joey Graham
Parker/Dixon/Delfino
Ford/Calderon/Ukic or Martin
I just want to know where Luke Jackson fits in to all of this to be honest, he was a pretty good off the bench Offense towards the end of the season there. Hopefully he sticks around as a bench player in the mold of Pape Sow who does nothing, but only in Jacksons case, may have some use.

I don't know how old or new this news is really but Derek Fisher's been released by the Utah Jazz so he can go play in a city that has doctors that can care for his daughters Eye cancer. Now his old team the L.A Lakers are targeting him to bring a vet at PG and Im assuming possibly con Kobe in to sticking around.
I hope Fisher can get on a team that allows him some playing time to be honest, I've always been some what of a fan of his and "that game" against Golden State where he flew in from New York (I think) played in the 4th Quater and OT plus hit the Dagger three confirmed my fan boy-isms.
