Fulham have sacked manager Chris Coleman and his assistant Steve Kean with immediate effect. Northern Ireland manager Lawrie Sanchez will take over on a caretaker basis for the remainder of the season.
Well not a total suprise, but I am a little shocked. I really like Chris Coleman. A genuenly nice guy. Sad to see him leave Fulham. Hopefully he's not out of a job for too long.
interesting choice with Lawrie Sanchez. It'd be good to see him manage inthe Premiership. Can't see him keeping both his jobs though. So Northern Ireland fans might be a bit worried.
I am really disgusted at this news, what did the Fulham board expect him to do with the little money they were giving him. He did a great job by keeping them in the premiership this long after being forced to sell the Like of Malbranqe and Boa Morte, I truly ope Fulhma get relegated now and Coleman can get another job and restore some pride

That pretty much sums up what I think too. Coleman has had hardly any money, and conversely has been expected to sell off his better player too. I don't know what the Fulham board expect?
Of course, I am biased, Cookie is a guy I've met a few times (indeed he is a friend of one of my aunts and my youngest little brother is on Fulham's books....at least I hope she's just a "friend" of his!!)
I'd like to see my own club, Palace, get rid of Taylor and bring Chris in, but it's happened at a bad time for us (i.e no money!!)
I'm not too fond of Toshack and could actually see Coleman doing a good job with the Welsh national team. Well, as good a job as you can do with them!!

Did you send that into Sky Sports news? There was an e-mail which was near on exactly the same.
When i heard this i was actually shocked, i thought he was doing a good enough job. Fulham were never going to get into the champions league and a top half finish would be a good season for them. Wales would be a good job for him to try. Also Northern Ireland should be concerned as Sanchez has been doing a great job.
On a more positive note, Spuds are down to ten men and need two goals in three minutes to go thru in the UEFA Cup. Jol expession hasent changed all nite. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
