Keane Wins Manager Of The Month For February

Roy Keane has been named the Coca-Cola Championship manager of the month for February.
The Black Cats boss has scooped the award after guiding Sunderland to four wins and a draw last month, including Saturday's epic 2-1 win over Derby,
The run has taken the Wearsiders to fourth in the Championship.
He pipped Wolves manager Mick McCarthy to the award. McCarthy was short-listed along with West Brom boss Tony Mowbray and Leicester's Rob Kelly.
But while Keane accepted that the award reflects his team's good form, he refused to celebrate it.
Keane said: "I know a lot of people dread getting these awards but it's a nice reflection on the team. Having said that, the award will probably go in the garage - I'm focusing on our match at West Brom.
"There's no point getting an award half-way through the season, it kind of irritates me and it did when I was a player.
"I'm part of an important team here and hopefully the accolades can go to the players and the staff at the end of the season."
Sunderland's results in February began with a 2-0 win at home to Coventry followed by a 2-0 victory at Plymouth and then the 4-0 demolition of Southend at the Stadium of Light.
The Black Cats finished the month by drawing 1-1 at Birmingham and beating Derby at home.
McCarthy's Wolves have enjoyed the same form in February, starting off with a 2-2 draw at home to Plymouth followed by wins over Preston (away), Burnley (home), Ipswich (away) and Leeds (home).
Chris Kamara, chairman of the Coca-Cola manager of the month awards panel, said: "Roy Keane has enjoyed a sensational start to his managerial career at Sunderland.
"He took over when the club were at their lowest ebb but in the space of just a few months he has totally transformed them.

"Roy was backed by his chairman in the January transfer window and now has a squad capable of sustaining a serious challenge for promotion to the Premiership."
The manager of the month award is Keane's first.

He has improved much much quicker than anyone expected. After Niall Quinn was in charge i was thinking bottom half finish, but Roy Keane has them pushing for Automatic promotion. He deserves it imo.
