OK the i have read some stuff in the paper about lille being kicked out the champions league for almost walking off the pitch.

Now im a man.utd fan and i have always been quick free kicks, henry has shown how much they can change a game but what the lille coach did was way over the top, 0-1 is not a massive kick in the mouth for lille when manu.utd have been the best team in england by far this year. If i was the lille coach i would almost be happy with that. A 0-1 at old trafford in the next leg is not undoable is it.

I really dont think they should be kicked out the cup for it for two reasons;

1 being they didnt do enough to be kicked out and they would be scape goats.

2 Manu.utd would come off worse because if they won it there would be a massive 'what if lille...' over the win.

What are your thoughts over this?

I think they were angry due to the wrongly disallowed goal and a stong penalty claim turned down. Then when the ref let Giggs goal stand that was all they could take.
The coach said today if Man Utd had scored it would have stood, if Utd had appealed in the same situation they would have got a penality and the quick free kick if taken by Lille probably would have to have been retaken, because Utd are a much bigger team and ref always seem to favour the big teams. Hard to arguee the favouring the big teams part so while i disagree with it i think he makes a good point.

I heard a rumour today also, saying that because Lille have lodged an offical complaint, UEFA might have the match replayed. Lille will most likely get fined for the crowd throwing stuff tho.
