Don't expect the Tigers and catcher Pudge Rodriguez to be parting ways anytime soon. According to the Detroit News, "If the Tigers pick up Rodriguez's $13 million option for next season, his fourth year in Detroit won't be his last. And at this stage, it's likely they will. The Tigers aren't deep at catcher in the minors and they still like what Rodriguez brings." Pudge says he plans on playing until at least 40.
