Chicago Bears vs. Indianapolis Colts Sunday, February 4, 6:25 p.m. ET on CBS
Super Bowl XLI will have a fresh look with two teams that haven't seen the NFL's title game in a long time. The Bears are back in the Super Bowl for first time since winning Super Bowl XX in January of 1986, while the Colts will make a Super Bowl appearance for the first time since the franchise, then located in Baltimore, beat Dallas in Super Bowl V. Both teams started the 2006 season fast with the Bears winning their first seven games on their way to the NFC North title and the Colts starting 9-0 on their way to the AFC South crown. The game will feature strength against strength with the Colts offense, ranked third in the regular season, going against a Bears defense that finished the season ranked fifth overall. Both teams have plenty of talent, with Chicago sending seven players to the Pro Bowl, six from the defense or special teams, and the Colts boasting five Pro Bowl players, all from the offense. Bears coach Lovie Smith and Colts coach Tony Dungy are close friends, dating back to Smith's time working on Dungy's staff with the Tampa Bay Bucs, and the two are the first African-American head coaches to reach the Super Bowl.
Colts are going to rule ass in this game. I always love the Superbowl, i think i like the commercials as much as the game lol. But anyways, I want to see Manning win his first Superbowl.

This will be a good game, but I think the Colts are the better team. Chicago's Defense did outstanding vs the Saints, but the Colts defense is good enough to stop Chicago's mediocre offense. The Colts just have too many weapons on offense IMO, I mean for god's sake they had two linemen score touchdown...

According to the Associated Press, "Chicago Bears defensive tackle Tank Johnson will play in the Super Bowl -- with court approval and a warning from a judge to stay out of trouble... Cook County Judge John Moran granted a defense request Tuesday to allow Johnson to leave the state as he awaits trial on gun possession charges. The Bears will play the Indianapolis Colts in the Super Bowl in Miami on Feb. 4."
So the Bears won't be without both DTs for the big game. I bet Bears fans are happy to hear this news, eh?
Both good teams, Colts are the better of the two, but if Bears and Grossman have a good game, they can pull through. Grossman will have to play a hell of alot better then he did against the saints...

Interesting facts. Ron Rivera and Leslie Frazier from the 1986 Superbowl champions will face each other in this game. Ron (the first player of Puerto Rican descent to play in the NFL) is the defensive head coach of the Bears and Leslie Frazier (whose career essentially ended with an injurey in the SuperBowl) is an assistant coach with the Colts.
Ron has been interviewing for head coaching positions. We want to keep him here, but he deserves a head coaching spot somewhere. He's been as close to replacing Buddy Ryan as we have got.
I don't expect Ron Rivera to go anywhere whether they win or even if they lose, he'll be in Chicago for a bit longer IMO and I think he's holding out for some "dream" job that he's looking for...

I have a feeling that the Bears are going to sneak one out in this one. No one is giving Chicago any credit whatsoever. Sure, I have no faith in Rex Grossman either but that just gives me all the reason to believe in him. Many people have also forgotten that Peyton Manning didn't exactly blow things up in the playoffs this year until he reached the AFC Title game.
As of right now going into this game Peyton is a better overall QB but he and Rex Grossman are on the same level, they both have never played in the SB and that is a huge factor when it comes to QB's
