Oakland reportedly offered Sarkisian longer than a two-year deal, but Sarkisian says his long-term goal is to be a college head coach, not in the pros. The NFL Network reports the Raiders will now turn to Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels as their lead candidate, which could wind up delaying the team's coaching search into next month.
I honestly though he was going to take it, going from a QB Coach to head coach in the NFL is quite a jump, he'll do better with the buildup at USC...Coach later on and maybe a more promising job than the Raiders...
Thoughts?

He's a smart man really. Who the hell wants to Coach the worse team in the NFL and then most likely be fired at the end of the season? No one. I don't blame him here.
But then again, isn't that what happens to most new coaches? Unless your Mike Tomlin, your not going to go to a good team on your first year. Oakland's Defense isn't bad, if only someone could step in and get an offense together they could be a threat again...

Counting last year, I think this makes about 9 coaches who have turned down the Raiders job in less than 18 months. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
