WWE releases Superstars
World Wrestling Entertainment has come to terms on the release of the following talent. WWE wishes them all the best in their future endeavors.
Tony Mamaluke
Extremist Tony Mamaluke earned his greatest achievements in the original ECW, capturing the ECW World Tag Team Championship. Alongside his fellow Paesan Little Guido and ECW Diva Trinity, Mamaluke competed with new breed Extremists as a member of the Full Blooded Italians.
Doug Basham
As two-time WWE Tag Team Champions, the Bashams were at one-time regular competitors in SmackDownÂ’s Tag Team division. An appearance at WrestleMania XX, and an extensive role as part of JBLÂ’s Cabinet remain as highlights of this veteran tag teamÂ’s career.
Al Snow
ECW Original and former WWE Hardcore Champion Al Snow – along with his unique ally, Head – became a fan favorite with his unorthodox antics in the late 1990s. Snow is also known for his training of sports-entertainment hopefuls in WWE Tough Enough. While he will no longer compete in the ring, he will continue in his duties as a trainer.
The Gymini
The powerful pairing known as Gymini debuted on SmackDown in January 2006 and earned several victories over a slew of SmackDown teams including ring veterans Scotty 2 Hotty and Funaki.
Gangrel
David Heath, known to many as Gangrel, made his WWE debut in the mid 90Â’s as the vampire leader of the Brood. With blood dripping from his trademark fangs, Heath created a memorable image for WWE fans.
Only onebig lose there and thats the The Gymini. WWE are in need of tag teams at the moment at they are letting them go like there is a endless line of good tag teams out there when there is not.

Jesus Christ! That is a lot of releases, i don't see why they would release Tony...He is in a good tag team. And Al snow? I thought he was a trainer. The Gymini could have been good for smackdown, the others i don't really care about.

The Bashams being released is bogus. I liked ‘em quite a bit. I hate how the Spirit Squad is still signed and being used from time to time when there horrible and a great tag team like the Bashams are released, it’s crap.
Terkay, Jazz, Rodney Mac have also been released, Terkay is a huge suprise to me, as it looked like they were pushing him for something. Wonder if this signifies the near death of ECW?

Jesus...so many. CW Anderson could have been a good mid-card contender for ECW if he was pushed right. Tony could have been a good tag team competer for ECW if they stuck him with Guido instead of having Guido job. Thats the only two im surprized about. Oh and Sylvester Terkay, looked like he was in line for a push, but I never really saw anything special in him.

Sucks seeing all these ECW Originals getting released, but WWE doesn't really know how to manage a good roster so not really surprised, Bashams and Gymini being gone suck consider TNA needed some tag teams, and these leaving don't help the division at all...
Al Snow & Gangrel getting released really sucks as the two are very underrated and could put on good matches and storylines, expect them to be accepting bookings soon though...

Reports report: Tatanka and Mike Knox are next to go?
I've gotten three eyewitness accounts of Tatanka and Mike Knox being put up on the list of WWE terminations on WWE.com earlier today. It happened sometime between 5:30 and 6 p.m. and their names were only on the page for 10 to 15 minutes or so before they were quickly taken down. This is all moot point now, but their names were temporarily up there. For the time being, those two individuals are still employed by WWE.
