Ok so I retyped all this on the computer so I could post this, My internet is still pretty much down, but should be up very soon I'm hoping..Anyways surprising sign here by the Indians as I didn't expect him or even hear anything of him coming to the Tribe. Another good batter to add to the Indians already great offense. (Note: Indians had the second best offense in runs per game last year in the MLB.)

Thoughts?

It's reportedly worth $3 million - not too bad for a veteran with a .278 average who will really help solidify the bench, assuming he backs up Casey Blake. He can also earn up to $2 million more in performance bonuses.

He won't back up Casey Blake, Casey Blake has already been training to move to first and take over Ryan Garko which I disagree with. Casey Blake has played 3B before also and I personally believe he should take that spot from Andy Marte instead...

Right now the starting line up is:

RF: Trot Nixon
CF: Grady Seizmore
LF: David Dullicci
1B: Casey Blake
2B: Josh Barfield
3B: Andy Marte
SS: Johnny Perlata
C: Victor Martinez...

Nice strong line-up, and should improve the defense along with offense, which was already one of the best in the league...should make them a good contender this year with the addition of the bullpen...

Being a Red Sox fan I was sad to see him leave as he seemed to come through for the Sox when they needed him. I guess when you are trying to build a championship team you have to part with the least productive. I think I might be a little less productive. I'll go to Cleveland for just $2 million and will accept no bonuses even if I deserve them.

All kidding aside I will watch his stats this year. I wish him luck.
