Hartlepool manager Danny Wilson felt his side fully deserved their 1-0 victory over MK Dons.
A strong wind made it tough for both sides and Wilson said: "I think we played the conditions very well.
"In the first half against the wind we defended very stoutly, won most of the headers and restricted them to very few chances which was pleasing.
"Then in the second half it was vital that we tried to utilise the wind and put pressure on them - which we did."
