| Smith hopeful of deal with Burke Rangers manager Walter Smith hopes to secure winger Chris Burke on an extended contract this week. There has been speculation that the 23-year-old Scotland international could leave after negotiations broke down ahead of the transfer window. And Smith said: "I am obviously aware of his contract situation, but I think we will have something to say on that in a few days. "I would like things clarified on that front.
