Gillingham manager Ronnie Jepson felt his side were unlucky to lose out to Doncaster Rovers by two late goals.
"I am gutted for the lads - Rovers are a good side but we were the better team for the first 80 minutes," Jepson said.
"It just was not going to drop for us. If we had played until half-past five, we probably still would not have scored - it was one of those days.
"I am the first to knock my players if they are not at it but they gave 100% to the cause."
