Billy Dearden's new-look strike-force helped Mansfield to a comfortable win over Hereford at Edgar Street.

Barry Conlon, who arrived from Darlington on Friday, rifled home in the ninth minute.

Substitute Micky Boulding looked to have made the game safe when he slotted in Giles Coke's cross.

But Gareth Sheldon scored a spectacular goal in the 88th minute to set up a tense finish before new-boy Martin Gritton made the points safe.
