Jermaine Easter was Wycombe's hero for the second time in a week as his side won to strengthen their play-off hopes.

The striker side-footed home from Kevin Betsy's cross on 88 minutes to seal it, days after he had earned the Chairboys a Carling Cup draw against Chelsea.

Neither side had mustered a single effort on target until that, but the result was a little harsh on Chester.

Laurence Wilson twice shot wide for the hosts, while Jon Walters spurned a fine chance just before Easter's winner.
