Two goals in three second-half minutes kept up Blackpool's push for a play-off place as they saw off Port Vale.
The Seasiders had to wait until the 72nd minute to break the deadlock, Andy Morrell cutting in from the left before firing past Joe Anyon.
David Fox made it 2-0 soon after when his curling shot deflected home.
Port Vale did get a late consolation when Paul Tierney was judged to have handled the ball in the area and Akpo Sodje scored from the penalty spot.
