Taylor to be back with Dolphins in 2007...

Quote:
BRISTOL, Conn. -- The Miami Dolphins already lost their head coach, but they can rest assured their Pro Bowl defensive end won't be doing the same.

Jason Taylor

Jason Taylor ended recent speculation that he may retire from football during a television appearance on ESPN's Sunday NFL Countdown. The defensive player of the year asserted that regardless who is coaching the team, he'll return for his 11th season.

"If [the new coach will] have me, I'll be back in Miami," Taylor said during his guest analyst role on the show.

Last week Taylor, 32, acknowledged he was considering retirement and made related comments as recently as Friday.

"The day Tom Brady outruns [me], I'll retire," Taylor joked Sunday, "but that day's not going to come quick."

Taylor had 62 tackles, 13.5 sacks, forced nine fumbles, and scored twice on interceptions in 2006.
Didn't believe he would leave, a bit to young in my opinion, 32 years old is not that old at all for an athlete, a little after middle age, he can go a few mroe years and be fine, hopefully he can help lead the Dolphins to at least a playoff berth in the next few years...

Thoughts?

I believe the Dolphins are catching a break here big time, I wouldnÂ’t image them without him sense heÂ’s been there for so long now and plus heÂ’s a young man. Athletes like so donÂ’t usually retire at a young age unless they have been injured etc. With him coming back the Dolphins defense looks just as strong and hopefully they can improve it.

His words about he wouldn't retire till brady outruns him, may show that he'll be in a Dolphins Uniform for a bit, and I really hope he is, he's the centerpiece of their defense and they kind of need him to really be a force in the AFC East

lol at him saying that...Brady did it to Urlacher though, and he is better than Taylor....

Anyways, he si one of my favorite defensive players, he shouldnt retire now....he's not a running back, you know.
