Former coach to return to Sixers as executive VP
PHILADELPHIA -- Larry Brown is returning to the Philadelphia 76ers as an executive vice president, nearly six years after leading the team to the NBA Finals.
The Sixers said early Saturday that Brown will assist team president Billy King and the basketball operations department, and work on other special projects.
Brown has been out of basketball since the New York Knicks fired him in June after he went 23-59 in his only season in New York.
Glad to see he is getting back into Basketball, though I didn't believe he'd come back as an exectuive VP, though not a bad idea. He should help out the 76ers a bit on drafts, trades, signing, releases along just overall behind the scenes stuff....
Nice get for the 76ers...
