NBA suspends Raja Bell!

Raja Bell of the Phoenix Suns has been suspended for one game without pay for kicking Andrea Bargnani of the Toronto Raptors, it was announced today by Stu Jackson, NBA Executive Vice President, Basketball Operations.

The incident occurred with 3:04 remaining in the third period of SunsÂ’ 100-98 win over the Raptors at Air Canada Centre on Wednesday, January 3. Bell will serve the suspension tonight when the Suns host the Miami Heat at US Airways Center.

Yeah, I saw the play happen at the time and no one noticed it on the court but I was thinking that if someone sent that video in he would be suspended for a game.

Raja was upset because the other guy was being overly physical with him getting low post position a couple times down and Raja being called for the foul. But Raja definately is a dirty player.

No doubt about it, he deserved the game suspension and surprised he didn't get three for it, nice to see action was taken against him though, and maybe he'll consider what he does a bit more next time...
