5 Vikings that are packing their bags.....

Quote:
* National reports say several Vikings are on the verge of being outright released in the coming days and weeks, including Brad Johnson, Fred Smoot, Troy Williamson, Jim Kleinsasser and Jermaine Wiggins.
Not surprised or disappointed by any of them. Also:

Tuesday, January 2nd, 2007

At one point during his news conference Tuesday, Brad Childress was asked what he could have done differently.

“Probably call better plays that work,” he said. “I’m serious. I know things come down to execution most of the time, but that’s what I would say.”

Asked to elaborate, Childress said: “You know what, you always go back on plays that maybe games hinge on. As long as I’ve been doing this you probably unfortunately zero in and remember the negatives more than you remember the positives; the game-changing plays. I can remember a couple of those. [The] call against the Bears to not have that football on the ground. Could you have done something different? Yeah, you could have called a different play, but I guess you can always say that if a play doesn’t work.”

Childress was talking about Chester TaylorÂ’s fumble that led to the BearsÂ’ winning touchdown in the first meeting this season. A trap play was called by Childress.
Gee, ya think? :JP:

Yea Williamson is about the only one that I think would be stupid to let go the others are not really needed. I see Tavarias Jackson leading the team next year IMO...

Yeah, stupid to cut a guy who couldn't catch herpes in a whorehouse.

Obviously, you two have not seen a single Vikings game in the last two years. If you really want to see Tom Brady's passes bouncing of his hands, shoulders, head, and every other body part, be my guest.

Take him. Hell, we'll trade him to you for a package of Gillette razors. Used razors even.

Well Spawn, they possibly could, T. Jackson isn't that great of a quarterback and still is going to have his rookie ways, if he gets the nod of his competitor, Brooks Bollinger than they may be doomed, as it was reported they are not planning on going a veteran in Bledsoe, Plummer, or Huard...

Okay seriously Smoot is a name... Watch the Vikings... guess who gets burned every single play... Smoot... who was replaced by a rookie mid-season? Smoot. You guys play him up like he's an all-pro. He played no where near the all-pro level. And what potential do you see in Williamson? to drop the most balls in NFL history? Seriously you could put stick-um on Williamson's hands and he'd still drop the ball. Johnson sort of had a falling out with Childress... as did Wiggins... I never thought Childress would be the answer in Minnesota, right now i seem him as a scapegoat to get rid of busts.

Kleinsasser gets his own section. why? because Kleinsasser can do one thing, block. He can't catch, he's not fast, but hell he can block the fuck out of you

I do agree with ya on Childress not being the answer in Minnesota, I just don't think the Vikings organization sees it, give him 2 mediocre to bad years and he'll be gone IMO...
