ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Angels outfielder Juan Rivera broke his left leg Friday during a winter league game in Venezuela.
Rivera broke his left tibia in the Oriente Caribbeans' game against the Aragua Tigers in Maracay. The Angels said Rivera's leg has been placed in a cast and he will be flown to Miami, where he will be re-examined by a trauma specialist Saturday.
Last season, Rivera, 28, had career bests in average (.310), runs (65), hits (139), home runs (23) and RBI (85)

| Hopefully he can get back before the season starts, this really sucks for the Angels and Rivera as I know believe the Angels will be a bit more cautious on who plays in the winter leagues...
