SAN DIEGO -- LaDainian Tomlinson broke Shaun Alexander's NFL single-season touchdown record of 28 when he scored three times Sunday in the San Diego Chargers' game against the Denver Broncos.
With the fans chanting for Tomlinson, the star running back took a handoff from Philip Rivers and scored on a 6-yard run with 3:57 left to tie it. After Denver fumbled, Tomlinson got No. 29 on a 7-yard run just 47 seconds later.
Tomlinson has 26 TDs rushing and three receiving. He's also thrown for two touchdowns this year.
Alexander set the record last season for Seattle.

Expect him to pad the record some more, poor Alexander though only getting to hold the record for not even a year...but Congrats to LT...
Thoughts?

lol he should have 35-40. This record should stand for a long time, he could be one of if not the best RB ever. The only guy who will break it in today's game is him imo.
I new he would be breaking this record sooner or later expecially considering how much the Chargers use him in the back feild. But also he is a very solid runner and dominates most teams defense so it was bound to happen or sooner or later. What surprises me is that he broke his record with atleast 3 games left in the season. I see him scoring about 3-4 touchdowns and sealing this recoud up for a while.
