Glad to see Eric Gagne went down in price knowing he wasn't going to get 10 million guareenteed a year, this will be a good pick-up, but a good risk for the team who gets him. Indians after signing a few bullpen guys could still use him, but Texas would be the moree ideal choice for him....He's expected to make his choice today...

Thoughts?

Just seeing Gagne coming back and signing with a sign is awsome expecially after last year it looked he was officaly done. Both teams have the money which can benifit on his side. I hope he signs with the Indians sense they are a better team and have much more to look foward to unlike the Rangers have no pitching and there ballpark is a hitters feild. Gagne should accept now less than 9 million a year sense he hasn't been all the realible the past 2 seasons.

he should go to the Cubs lol. The Indians would be good so I dont have to see Fausto Carmona blow 50 saves in a year....He will be overpaid though, i guarentee that.

Gagne coming back? That's incredible, last time I heard his arm was almost falling off, but nonetheless it's still great news he is moving on and coming back. Hope he signs with the Rangers sense they need a closer to be a dominate team. So many wins were lost last season sense they didn't have a realible closer, he could help them out big time. Indians on the other hand would be meh and boring.

That's their own fault they traded away Bob Wickman away at mid-season. I think we all knew the indians wouldn't be closing much games with a in-expreinced closer. Plus, Wickman had a rotten first half which didn't help his case out. But what ever, Gagne should head over to the Rangers sense they have a chance to be a winning team and possibly more money.

First off, its Bob Wickman, not Brian, next with cleveland Bob Wickman only blew three saves before they traded him, he had a great first half. Why they traded him I have no clue, but it was the biggest mistake of all, Indians have just as much money if they'd spend it and now they are starting too so Gagne could be a good fit...

Edited his post....Brain Wickman made me laugh if nothing else ....Ya, but Gagne probably wants 4 yrs. 28 mil...don't know if they'll pay that much.

He reportedly wants a one year deal worth 6 mil guareenteed and a possible 5 mil in performance incentives....meaning he can get as little as 6 mil, but as much 11 mil...

Gagne knows himself he might not even be stable during the regular season. He wouldn't be asking such a low contract amount if he knew he was the dominate closer we saw back in 2005. This could be shacky sign by who ever ends up with him sense his arm will never be what it once was.
