Tell that to John Gruden who has (unlike Wade) won a superbowl and at a very young age for a coach... And he did it with a far worse team than Phillips had in Denver.

And take what Jones says to the press with a grain of salt. He would have found a way to relate the coach with the fans no matter the choice. All I say is wait to see if what he does in there before you jump on the Wade Phillips bandwagon, it may work out for you too... but if it flops you are just going to feel silly

first off, the team jon gruden took to the superbowl was NOT his team. That was a Tony Dungy Team. Look what happen after that, THEY SUCK!

I think Wade Phillips can help the cowboys. And next year, if we dont even go to the playoffs, I wont feel ''silly''. Why would I? I am just a fan of theres.

He was still the man calling the shots... the fact is that team won a superbowl and the broncos team led by Wade did not. (and don't forget, I'm a HUGE Bronco fan)

I just notice with Cowboy fans in general they sem to cling on to something new and praise it more so than anything other following in the NFL. Or maybe it's just the cowboys fans I have interacted with... which is a plentiful amount.

So Phillips to the Cowboys. I don't like it. Phillips is a re-tread, and if they were going to go with a re-tread over a new coach, they should've gone with a guy like Turner who is closely associated with the franchise. Still, at least it looks like they'll wind up with some good coordinators out of the deal.
