French left-back Gaël Clichy has pledged his future to Arsenal, saying that he wants to stay with the North London club for the rest of his career.
Clichy has now been promoted to first-choice left-back after the departure of Ashley Cole to Chelsea.
Clichy said: "My first objective and priority is Arsenal and to make sure the boss doesn't want to buy any new left-backs.
"Today I am the number one and I don't want to be the number two again.
"The French team would be a bonus, and if I get called I would be the happiest player in the world."
Clichy also thanked Kolo Touré and Pascal Cygan for helping him settle in London.
