Early Baseball Predictions

Do you monks have any early predictions this year for the 07 MLB season?

My early early (way to early to make one yet but im slim, so im doing it anyways) World Series match up is Boston Red Sox vs. NY Mets..

I think The Red Sox will win the division this year over the d*mn yankees.

Id like the Rays to actually make some noise this year. Yeah they wont make a threat to the yanks or the sox, but maybe get in third place? That would be pretty cool. Ill be going to a lot of Ray games this year. Tickets are Cheap =)

I hope Washington can turn the Rangers around. He seems like he can be a good coach. I guess we will see.

Im sure the braves will step it up this year. I have them as my second team to go to the series in the N.

Mark Texierra (sp?) will have a killer year. He will get 40 plus homers...

AL East: Red Sox

AL Central: hmm, could go to either sox, or tigers, or twins, or i can even see the indians making some noise.. im going to say Tigers.

AL West: A's but I hope the Rangers.

AL Wild Card: NY

NL East: the Mets

NL Central: Astros

NL West: Padres (I just don't see who is going to beat them out in what I think is shaping up to be the weakest division in the majors).

NL Wild Card: Braves

Wolrd Series- Red Sox vs. Mets

I was never into Baseball in the past but am going to try to watch more games this year and learn more about the game itself.

I know the Mariners sucked last year but they show all their games here so I may give it a go every now and then.

I don't know anything about baseball.

I always liked the Cleveland Indians so I am going with them.

I'm a good old rebel,
Now thats just what I am,
And for this Yankee nation,
I do not give a damn.
I'm glad we fought against her,
I only wish we'd won.
I ain't asking any pardon for anything we've done.

Sorry Slim, but the Devil Rays probably won't finish better than 4th place this year. The Yankees, Red Sox, and Blue Jays are all way too good. Tampa only has one good pitcher on their entire staff (Kazmir) and that won't getit done against the awesome offenses they play

They do have some excellent yourg hitters though, which is a reason tobe excited

yeah, true to all of that. That has also always been the rangers problem. They have the hitters, but not the pitchers.

By the way, you're kinda lucky you get to watch Carl Crawford play every day. At first thought, he definitely might be one of the most underrated players in baseball.

Last year's stats: .305/.348/.482, 58 SB, 9 caught stealings, 18 homeruns. And he's a pretty damn good fielder.

I'm a huge Mets fan... but their pitching is real spotty with Pedro not coming back in July or so

Their not an World Series team IMO....

The Cubs will make an run... Lee.Ramires/Soriano... and Zambrano

only if Prior and Wood to be healthy they could be dangerous... i'm going out on the limb

World Series- Chicago Cubs Vs. Red Sox-- Cubs in 6

I agree, Tampa Bay is two decent starting pitchers away from being wild card contenders. Their hitting is splendid. Yes, I said splendid.
