49ers to win the west next year

Yeah, thats right. Slim is calling that right now. I see a young good team coming up, with gore and Alex Smith. They have a lot of promise. They still have a chance to win it this year i think, but they won't. But that's right, They WILL win it next year.

Agree?

Disagree

I think the Seahawks will win it so long as they can keep their starters on the field.

Hasselbeck, Alexander and Jackson have all been banged up pretty good this year and need a rest to get back to full fitness and to get the offense all fired up again. Also I think the Seahawks are still trying to fill the gap left by Steve Hutchinson (who has been pretty shitty this year in Minnesota but he's the only guard people know of so he's Pro Bowl'd) and if they can find a suitable replacement then Seattle will take some beating.

The 49ers have a good chance this year and next but I'm still not sold on Alex Smith and Frank Gore can only do so much. Vernon Davies looks good but needs a bit more time to be a real threat and they need to stop relying on Antonio Bryant for the big plays.

The 49ers are a work in progress for me, give them 3 or 4 years if Alex Smith keeps improving.

see, seattle is kinda an old team though. the 49ers already beat them twice this year, (i do understand the hawks are beat up)

but with alexander, will he even be back next year? If he is, im not sold on him being a mvp again.. idk. I coul dbe wrong about them though

Yeah I see your point but age isn't always a bad thing and they aren't that old.

Plus Alexander signed a massive deal last year approx $60 million. He'll be back. He won;t be as good as 2005 but he'll still be better than most.

yeah, well if the 49ers do not win it, i think they will be a threat. Thats good news for the west. What about the cards, will they be better? They seem to have the talent.
