| Arsenal vs. Blackburn : Sat, Dec, 23 at 3pm Great post from an Arsenal Forum:
Back to the Premiership after a disappointing Tuesday at Liverpool.
Blackburn Rovers at home will most likely play the typical defensive football we've seen displayed by other teams that visit the Grove. We will most likely rest one or two players due to a clogged schedule, but the core of the squad will most likely be out there, especially since the game against Liverpool was postponed.
The team has been learning gradually how to deal with these teams, and I sincerely believe that, if we go a goal down, we can realistically come out with a win out of this one. Wenger will probably instruct the lads and tell them that yet another draw is not an option. I do not believe Blackburn is capable of winning this game, and I trust our unbeaten run at home will continue for some time, but Blackburn are very capable of punishing us if we continue making defensive mistakes, and we are going to need our players completely focused on the game if we are to get 3 points.
Last season we outplayed Blackburn at Highbury, and won convincingly with a great display from Van Persie. We did not show our best football, and were quite vulnerable at the back, but we did score some excellent goals. If we are able to dominate the game and nullify Blackburn's thuggish tactics, then this squad is perfectly capable of winning, but if we don't, we have to be prepared for another draw, or hope the chances we create, like last year, go in.
