its not healed. he still has a thing on it, hey, trust me, I hate it when he drops a pass. I say bench him untill his hand his healed. but the media makes a big deal out of him dropping a pass, and they forget his hand was broken, and still is not 100%

also, the plate severely restricts the flexibility of the hand, as well as "dispersing" the pain from the impact of the ball throughout the injured area. think of it like snow shoes... they are extra wide to disperse the pressure you put on your foot. same concept.

and as anyone with a healing broken bone knows, it doesn't have to do with the speed of the pass, the slightest touch at the wrong angle can make you instinctively compensate, adjust...

Add that to the fact that he didn't have sticky hands in the first place, and you get all the drops.
