BCS vs. Playoff

Ok so here ya go, as far as the BCS goes, I've yet to meet someone who thinks it's the best. And so far the only positive that people pull out of the BCS is that with a playoff system players wouldn't be able to catch up on their studies. Well tell me this then... How does the "Bowl Sub-Division" have a playoff? Don't those players also study? Or am I missing something here? Another thing is that you could still have your fancy schmancy Texas Bowl or what ever, and still have a play-off. But yeah someone talk to the SEC Commishoner, who is also the BCS Commishoner, hrmmmm....

By the way, I think the BCS was rigged this year, with Florida going and all, Now I'm not saying they don't deserve it, nor does Michigan deserve it more. What I'm saying is that it's funny how the Human pollsters, who voted Michigan as the clear-cut #3 last week, still think that even though the #2 team lost, they are still the #3 team, thus avoiding major controversy over two things, A.) If Florida had won the bowl game they went to, there might be two Nat'l Champs and B.) More BCS Backlash from conferences. Also, For the sake of being non-fan, I think that Notre Dame, got to a bowl game not because of their record, or schedule, but because they are Notre Dame.

Prez, you couldn't be more right about it being rigged. Let me ask you: if USC would have beaten UCLA, who would've been the #3 spot? (considering USC would have stayed at 2) Are you gonna tell me that Florida would be #3, and Michigan would be #4? That's ridiculous.

The whole BCS system is garbage, Tressel admitted to not even voting, and Pete Carroll as well. How can you have a system like that when key players don't even participate?!!?!? The BSC system is as rigged as boxing.

Florida got picked not because they are the second best team in the nation, but because people thought a Flordia-OSU matchup is more "appealing". WHAT? Who cares?? The National Championship should be the two best teams playing, not who the public wants to see because it would be "fun".

If I was Michigan, and I got snubbed the way I did, I wouldn't be all that overly excited to play USC in the Rose Bowl. Whoopie!!!! And if Michigan loses by 20 to USC, or even if they blow the Trojans away, does it mean anything? Nope. It's done with now, and Michigan has no choice but to settle for the damn Rose Bowl.

I don't know if you actually asked a question for this thread, but yes I would approve a playoff system and get rid of this dumb BSC voting system.

Maybe they thought the game against Arkansas was impressive enough and were waiting to see it before declaring Florida "more worthy"..

Is there really going to be a simple answer here?
