We all have our favourites, and unlike american sports they dont just up wotwn and fuck off (wimbledon mk dons aside) so here is the definitive thread to describe your pasion for your team, there achievments and there future.

I am a Liverpool fan. We are the most sucessful side in English football history both in our own league (18 championships) and from our country on the european stage (5 european cups). At the moment we are probably the third best club team in the world (after Chelsea & Man U). We're stuck in a paradox were we can't prove we are the best team in our country (england) but on the grand stage of europe we both hold our own and exceed expectations. Nothing matters more to me as a Liverpool fan than coming higher in the Premiership (the EPL) than Man U. If that means us winning the championship then so much the better. At present I am appeased by the fact that at home we are supreme and on the road in Europe we are possibly the best team on the continent. At home I am saddened that we can't travel 30 miles to Bolton and get a point. My hope for the upcoming season are a back-to-back FA Cup triumph (the premier knock out tournament of the world), a run to at least the semi finals of the european cup and a 3/4th place finish in the EPL. I honestly feel all 3 are possible and probable.

semi finals of champions league? tell me your kidding, liverpool fluked their way to the trophy last time, they have gotten worse since, so no chance this season. Id say quarter finals if you get a nice draw for the next round (same as arsenal, utd to go out in the second round, chelsea in the semis).
FA cup, anyteam could win that and it wouldent surprise me if liverpool win it, id expect them to get to the semis at least. with utd to win it overall.
you'll be lucky if you get a top 6 finish with your away performances, so no way you will get third. chelsea will do the hat-trick, utd second, arsenal third, alot of teams could come fourth.

i dont mean to critise you too much but your midfield is very short on top talent, sissoko got injured and you were hopeless against arsenal, if gerrard gets injured you will have a very very hard winter. your strikers, just not good enough. again i cant critise cause my team has a lot of problems aswell atm (arsenal).

you said about being the most succesful club in england, you never won the priemership, chelsea have won it twice, arsenal a few times, blackburn once and utd a lot. until you win it, i dont consider you a top team.

Nicley debated but I remind you we have an identical home recored to Chelsea and with regards to our away form, well we've been to Arsenal, Man U, Chelsea and Bolton, no easy pickings for any team. But I don't wanna defend Liverpool all week, I wanna see people hype up other teams.

Well as you know i am a Sunderland fan.

Not much to shout about with Sunderland, finished in the EPL with the lowest ever points total however we hold the 2nd top points total in the Championship but has been beaten by Reading by a single point.
Probably our biggest moment was our FA Cup win in 1973 when we were in league 2 and we defeated the mighty Leeds.
Obviously i wasn't around when that happened so my biggest memory was the few times we won promotion to the premiership.
At the moment though i'm not incredibly pleased with who is running our club, not the chairman but the manager, Mr. Roy Keane.
I've never been a fan of his as to me he is the most thuggish football players ever and i don't think a man like him should be managing a club like Sunderland.
I also don't like the changes he has made especially with the people he has let go out on loan.
But i've already said what i think on that.
