So did anyone watch this? It was one of worst UFC PPV's in recent memory. The only match that even made it worth watching was the Matt Hughes/Georges St. Pierre match. St. Pierre dominated this match. It was obvious that he was much more prepared for the fight.
Thoughts about the PPV?

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY GO GSP! I thought it was awesome. I think GSP is the perfect fighter. Matt isn't the kind of guy you just walk through and that is exactly what GSP did. He barely broke a sweat beating him. He won that fight twice with the bell saving Matt in the first round.
The Heavy weight fight was a bust in the last round but the rest of the card was alright. GSP winning made it worth while and then some. I was jumping up and down like a fool when he won I was so excited lol.
Yeah, St. Pierre definitely walked right through Matt Hughes. I don't see anyone competing with him for quite a while.
The Sylvia/Monson fight was just awful. At least Monson was able to take him down though. Looks like that is the only way that Sylvia can be defeated. He just has too much of a reach advantage. I hope someone comes along and beats him down soon.

This being my 5th UFC event (The Ultimate Finale 1, Ortiz Vs Shamrock 3 The Ultimate Finale 4 and UFC 64 before this) It was okay...There was alot of let downs though. Frank Mir getting pounced by Vera wasn't really expected for me. I was really expecting Mir to come out looking strong, his striking looked to be better. But bam gets Clinch'd Knee'd in the head and goes down hill from there. Hopefully He gets some wins under his belt soon.
Slyvia and Monson stunk up the joint, I can only watch two guys throw meaningless lazy ass jabs and block take downs for so long, 3 rounds off that is abit insane. Atlest Monson got him to the ground but who lol'd at him not being able to reach his face?
GSP Vs Hughes though I expected GSP to take it but I was suprised as hell with how he just dominated Matt, He could have won in the first round to had there been 5 seconds left. Plus one of The UFC reps told him he would be defending the belt in Montreal, I must find a way to get there

I agree Its like a 4 day road trip there and back, Its pretty annoying that I have to drive allll the way there, then all the way back just to see GSP fight. Its not like MMA is any more dangrous then Boxing ethier. Your more likely to get fucked up boxing then you are in MMA.
Stupid Ontario laws...I must lobby agaisnt them >_>

It seems that the Anderson Silva beat down of Rich Franklin with the Muay Thai clinch has changed the UFC. The Muay Thai clinch has definitely made it to the UFC and I expect to see it a lot. That is what happened to Frank Mir last night.

I thought that Big John was gonna step in and start fighting to get Slyvia and Monson to do something lol.
Yeah but Sliva seems to have officially brought it to the UFC. They showed some of the guys last night warming up for their matches and they were all practicing it.
I thought he was too. He said "Come on guys, this a fight. You have to fight!"
