Did any of you watch UFC 64? Pretty good PPV overall.
I didn't expect to see Ed Herman get beat as easily as he did.
The Kenny Florian/Sean Sherk match was the match of the night in my opinion. A very good back and forth match.
The Rich Franklin/Anderson Silva match was crazy. There was not match to it at all. Franklin got dominated. And his nose looked awful after that knee to the face, it had to have broken his nose.
So what are your thoughts about the PPV?

I agree with the Florian/Sherk match was the match of the night.
I was cracking up because I didn't see a submission until the last match which was the only dark match they showed.
Franklin did get dominated and I thought that Silva would be dominant and he was.

Dak, just a quick correction, Herman lost on Tuesday's Ultimate Fight Night, not on the PPV.
As for UFC 64, I was surprised a bit at the outcome. Franklin has a weak chin and Silva's strikes are the most accurate in the sport, so I knew going in there was a chance Franklin could get put to sleep. I just didn't think it would be in the 1st round. Franklin did seem "off" as he entered the cage, though, and it was clear from the black eyes that he'd been hurt in training leading up to the fight. Still, he had a poor gameplan and once he got in the clinch, he had no answer for it.
But, let's not write Franklin off yet. It's only his 2nd-ever professional loss and first in the UFC. Let him heal, get a fight under his belt (against the runner-up from TUF 4 perhaps?) and then get another title shot.
Sherk looked good and Florian impressed me with his heart. He was taking a beating but never gave up, and that says a lot about his character.
Other than that, the PPV was average.
Can't wait till next 2 months, though. We have GSP-Hughes in Nov. and Ortiz-Liddell in Dec.

Ah, yes. I stand corrected.
They were just too close together!

Even though it was only my first time watching Franklin fight, I was still really shocked to see him dominated like that. From reading the list of opponents that he's put down, and from his MMA record alone, he really had this mystique about him. I thought he was going to put a much better fight, and not just go in there and have his face rearranged.
I agree with you Iceman, once TUF 4 ends, there could be some intriguing match ups... though I really don't see anyone on the show being able to take on Anderson Silva right now.
