I'm interested in this season. My MMA instructor was called for an audition for this season but wasn't given a spot because he was told he was "too nice." I think the fights will be a lot better than the first 3 seasons because the guys have more experience. My instructor also fought Shonie Carter, one of the guys in the house, who I hear fights in the first episode (I haven't watched it yet since I was at a BJJ class).

I did, however, watch the Ultimate Fight Night that came on before TUF 4 and was really impressed by how good all of the fights were. Lister-Sasaki was the worst of the 4 and that's only because both guys gassed early in round 3, the first two rounds were rather good. Diego Sanchez-Karo Parisyan was friggin awesome and could be the fight of the year. I still don't know how one judge had it 30-26, though. I agree that Sanchez won, but I could've seen it being scored a draw or 29-28 for Karo.

Hey man, I missed the fights last night, who won the Lister fight?

I don't train with him, but he's one of the instructors at my gym - it was pretty weird seeing him on TV last season, and then see him walking around the gym.

Lister won by unanimous decision. He looked real good in the first two rounds, nearly pulling off several submissions, but Sasaki kept escaping and near the end of round two, he caught Lister with several good shots and looked close to knocking him out before the horn sounded. Sasaki opened round three with a good flurry, but he gassed and Lister, who was gassed at the end of round two, managed to get one final takedown and just held on for the last minute or so.

He wasn't that happy with his performance and said he'd be in better shape the next time...he cut from 210 down to 185 for the fight and it definitely had an effect on his stamina.

Do you train in MMA, Lou? If so, how long?

I started taking BJJ classes a month ago and have been taking Muay Thai since the beginning of the year.

I wouldn't say I train in MMA. I've been doing Muay Thai for a bit over a year. That Mel guy that you see in team Ortiz also trains in the club, but I am taking lessons from yet another Muay Thai guy. I did BJJ with Clark Gracie (Royce's naphew) for a few months, but I just like Muay Thai a lot more. Where do you train Iceman?

In Littleton, Colorado. I was taking MT lessons for 6 months but have been training that at home for the past 2 months since switching over to BJJ (due to schedule conflicts). Brad Gumm, who was shown getting slammed by Shonie Carter in an old fight on last night's show (feel bad for Brad as he did well in that fight and was only 21 at the time, didn't make him look good), is my instructor.

This starts here on Tuesday. I’ve watched bits of the previous seasons, but I’m defiantly going to follow this one more closely.

Here in the US it airs Thursdays at 10PM on Spike TV.

Last seaon was the first one I watched(because Shamrock and Ortiz were the coaches) and I really enjoyed it, I enjoyed the first episode.
