Seriously, shouldn't he be getting Barry treatment by now?

Forgive me if I'm jumping to conclusions, but are you saying that Ortiz is a more dangerous hitter than Pujols?

I'd have to disagree, strongly.

No not at all, I do think Pujols is the best hitter in the majors, it reminds me of when Peter Gammons was talking on a Boston radio station and someone brought up Manny Ramirez as the best hitter in the majors and then Peter blurts out "Have you ever heard of Albert Pujols?" and basically shut that guy up.

When I made the comment, I just got done watching the Yankees game which they lost but Ortiz hit his 2nd homer in 2 days and went 4 for 4 last night.

Nobody should be getting the "Barry" treatment, not even Barry himself. Nothing annoys me more than seeing someone get purposely walked. It's BS. Pitch to everyone, everyone has a weakness at the plate. Find it and pitch that way to Bonds, Pujols, or whoever.

Ortiz is clutch, plain and simple. I don't know if he's more "dangerous", but both men are not easy to pitch to. Manny Ramirez is one of the top 5 hitters in baseball, period.

Peter Gammons should shut his old ass up.

I agree with you on every point except for the Peter Gammons point. He is one of the greatest writers ever and revolutionalize the way writing baseball should be done.

Also, he knows his rock music and is into some good bands.
