Premier League Darts

Has anyone been watching the Premier League Darts over the last few months? I went to the round in Doncaster a couple of weeks back and saw the Taylor v Barney match and i have to say the atmosphere was amazing. I think that darts is increasing in popularity very quickly and is possibly more popular than sports such as snooker.

Anyway as you can tell i think darts is ace, just wondered what you guys think? and if darts is a popular sport over the pond in the good old USA?

Not really, darts are not that popular here in the US. It's considered a sport over there? Over here it would never be considered a sport, at least i've never heard anyone call it a sport.

It was officually classed as a sport earlier this year and theres even talk of it making the 2012 olympics. Theres a new tourniment this year in the US with the 20 best American players playing the 20 best from the rest of the world with $1,000,000 goin to the winner.

I don't think it should count as a sport. As far as the Olympics go, considering that they have synchronized swimming in there and not football shows how little that should count.

It's a fun game, but not a sport IMO.

ESPN call poker a sport, which has more athletic skill?

darts, but I don't think too many people would consider poker a sport.

I'm not saying it doesn't take skill to play darts well, I just personally don't think it is a sport.
