The reaction was, I thought I was watching a John Cena match. He was getting booed and there was a Johnny Sucks chant.
He did tip his cap when he went to the plate and he had some boos changed to cheers a little bit but not as much.

That reminds me of when Albert Belle signed with the Chicago White Sox after being with Cleveland for quite some time. I was lucky to be at the first game back in Cleveland, and it was just chaos. The boo's were so loud it was deafening. The amount of taunting, throwing fake money on the field and everything. It was great.
The fans in centerfield actually threw some fake money on the field as well to Damon.

Boston fans are passionate, it's like Damon stabbed them in the back by signing with the Yankees. If he had signed with anyone else it wouldn't have been that big of a deal.
You can't blame the man though, NY offered him $13 million more than Boston.

Kennedy, I'm a Sox fan and I agree with you. We cheered O-Cab when he came back, Nomar will get a cheer if he ever comes back. I don't blame Damon at all for going to get as much money as possible. You would do the same thing and I would do the same thing.
