New Jersey vs. NY Rangers (I guess.)

Buffalo vs. Philadelphia (Though this could go either way.)

West:

Detroit vs. Edmonton (Go Red Wings go!)

Dallas vs. Colorado

Calgary vs. Anaheim

Nashville vs. San Jose (The lesser of two evils.)

Well the Rangers could be screwed. Losing 6-1 was bad enough but they might have lost Jagr :eek2:

That hit was great and I didn't know Campbell could hit like that. But Sabres showed no class by showing the replay to the fans in the arena after he had to be helped off the ice.

You are right but its just nice to see someone take it to the Flyers for once. They are getting their doors blown off and I'm loving it.

Pathetic effort from the Flames all series (Reminded me of how the Canucks played down the stretch) but tonight made me ashamed to be a Flames fan and I didn't even feel that way during the 7 years they couldn't make the playoffs and watched dumbass GM's trade away any good player we managed to get. I thought their effort in game 7 against Tampa was bad but compared to this effort they looked like an all-star team in that game. Worst thing is the Ducks also did not play well this series and Flames could have won it if they didn't play so pathetic (If they wouldn't have played each other both teams would have been swept). Really we were a two man team of Iginla and Ferrence. Like in the season no other forwards could step it up but unlike the playoffs our defense and even Kipper looked awful. I had a bad feeling when we lost players like Conroy and Gelinas going into this season because while they might not put up the best stats they play with heart which guys like Langkow lack. The atmosphere also was never here like it was in 03-04. Cops tried to stop the red mile and fans in the arena were awful. Yeah compared to crowds in US cities like Anaheim that could care less about hockey it was loud but not even close to what it was in 03-04. But I guess I can't blame them when the Flames were so awful all series. Also in 03-04 fans were just happy to see them make the playoffs while I think fans this year would not be happy with anything less than the cup. Personally I am happy with the season though. I hate to see it end in such a pathetic way but being division champions again is nice, players like Phaneuf will only get better and there are a ton of free agents hitting the market that Flames can hopefully add somebody to take the pressure off Iginla who will have a better season next year. And to help clear up cap space to do that the first thing they need to do is get rid of Hamrlik. Waste of our cap having him as the second highest paid player when he isn't even a top four defender on this team while with some teams he could be their #1 defender.

Anyway on to the next round..... Sharks will easily beat the Ducks in a sweep and Edmonton vs Colorado will go to a 6th game with Colorado winning in what will be a high scoring series with Roloson and Theodore not keeping up their play from round one. Which the Sharks will take advantage of to advance to the finals.

In the east Ottawa vs Buffalo will be one of the best series in this years playoffs. Still not really sure who to give the edge too since they are both pretty equal. New Jersey and Carolina should also be a good matchup with New Jersey coming out on top.

With Calgary and Montreal out I don't really care who wins. Guess Ottawa would be my next choice to cheer for since they are Canadian and not Edmonton who I am not allowed to like as a Flames fan of course. As for the cup it is going to be making a trip to San Jose so San Jose can start sending their thank you cards to Boston (Just send them to any mental hospital and their GM will get it) because without Thornton they wouldn't even have made the playoffs.

EDIT: I wasn't thinking right since I was still upset about the Flames pathetic effor and CBC had me mixed up because before the game was over they were talking about possible matchups and totally ignored what would happen with the Ducks and instead were talking about how if the Flames lost then Edmonton would be playing San Jose.

My thoughts are pretty much the same though. Except Roloson is going to be even worse against San Jose so I don't see San Jose having much of a problem against them. Thedore will hold up better against Anaheim and I still don't see them doing much so I am still predicting they will be swept. So I had the matches mixed up but I still see the same teams advancing.
