Wow. After seeing every #1 knocked off (not to mention three #2's and three #3's), the Final Four has come down to this:
LSU vs. UCLA
George Mason vs. Florida
By default, I have to cheer for George Mason -- as will much of North America, I'm sure. But realistically, do they have the skill to win two more games? It would sure be cool.
LSU looked outstanding against Texas, dominating inside, even against Texas' big men. They're my realistic pick to win it all, though UCLA looked fantastic as well, and that Noah kid on Florida might be the real deal.
I like that there are no No. 1 seeds left. I knew going in that this tourney would be difficult to correctly predict and sure enough, this is the first time in over 15 years of filling out brackets that I have zero teams remaining as we enter the Final Four.
I'll be rooting for George Mason as my mom is in a pool where everyone draws one team at random at the beginning of the tourney. She drew GM and they are still alive, so that's who I'm pulling for.
There'll be no sorrow there, no more burdens to bear,
No more sickness, no more pain, no more parting over there;
And forever I will be with the One who died for me,
What a day, glorious day that will be.
I will definitely be rooting for George Mason. One guy on SI.com posted a pretty interesting article. He was basically saying that George Mason basically has no glaring weakness. They have guards who can knock down shots as well as penetrate the lane, they have two big men who can rebound and score around the basket, and a quality swingman in the 3 spot.
Their big men are a little short, but they've already handled some of the best big men in the country, including Paul Davis of Michigan St., Tyler Hansbrough of UNC, and the excellent UConn big men. I think George Mason has a legitimate shot of beating Florida

I'll be rooting for George Mason but if Florida wins, no problem there. Both coaches played basketball at Providence College.

George Mason or Florida. I don't think anybody expected GM to make it this far and they probably screwed up a lot of brackets(including my own). I don't really care about them, but I love cheering for the underdog.

I'll be rooting for George Mason and I agree, they don't have any real weakness. The thing is.. Florida just has people who could take over the game like Noah and that's why I think Florida will win, but it'll be close.
I think LSU is the most talented team left, I'm picking them to win it all now.
I think LSU will win. Tyrus (?) Thomas, the freshman forward/center, has been the most dominant player in the tournament and I think he'll take over the next 2 games to give the Tigers the victory...plus it'd be nice for something good to happen to the people in Louisiana after Katrina.
