Reggie Wayne signs 6-year deal with Colts

This means the Colts still have the franchise tag to place on Edgerrin, if they can afford to pay him close to 10 million next season. Apparently we'll know their decision by tomorrow, but I can't see Polian giving Edge that kind of coin.

I believe this makes Antonio Bryant the cream of a pretty weak WR free agent crop.

The draft isn't full of top flight WRs either..

I like what Wayne did. Of course he still got #1 WR type of money, but he could have easily walked away to just be "the man" on a different team. He realizes this is the place to win, and I respect him for that. Is this guy really from Miami? lol

On to Edge, I heard that the Colts are most likely not going to place the tag on Edge, so he'll be a free agent it seems. I'm not sure where they'll go at RB, but with Peyton, Marvin, Wayne and co.. they should be fine on offense.

Edge and also Jamal Lewis will be available. Who takes em..

How are the Colts still under the salary cap after giving all of these guys high priced contracts?

Well I doubt they have a ton of cap room left, but you're right; Peyton, Marv, and Wayne have all gotten pretty monstrous contracts in the last few years. I wonder if Freeney is still playing on his rookie deal... that'll be something to watch.

Shaun Alexander might also be a FA this offseason.

I also just heard that Drew Brees is most likely out of San Diego. I'm not sure what to think of this guy. He was mediocre for a while, apparently grew up, and had two decent years..

I guess if I needed a QB, I'd have to take him and pay him the cash. San Diego must want to play Rivers.

Remember he had that nasty shoulder injury in Week 17; I wouldn't be surprised if San Diego was hesitant to offer enough to keep him (I know they did make an offer and he rejected).
