Ok.. so I just saw the highlights of this shit. Kobe was on fire for sure, he attempted 46 shots and 20 free throws. It's the 2nd highest point total of all time next to Wilt's 100 point game. So I ask you..are you impressed with this or no?

81 is amazing. Thats pretty crazy. I havent been watching really, does he not pass the ball lol. How is his teammates taking this? If they are winning ohh well.

I think it is impressive. Seeing that the rest of the team sucks, this is what has to be done for them to get the wins they need to make the playoffs. I am not surprised with how much he shoots either, I would let him too if i was the coach seeing the rest of team sucks.

I watched the second quarter of that game, which was before Kobe exploded with 55 after halftime. Anyway, it was totally clear that Kobe is the only guy out there who's even trying for the Lakers. Seriously, I don't know if I've ever seen more of a one man show on the hardwood -- even Iverson's career doesn't compare with what Kobe's working with out there.

At some point last night, Kobe just realized that whoever he passed it to either wasn't going to shoot the ball, and certainly wasn't going to make a shot, so he just took care of things himself. I believe he's averaging 36 a game after the 81, so it'll be interesting to see how high he can take that total. Jordan's highest PPG was 37.1 or something.

Yup.. amazingly enough I believe Wilt averaged something like 50 PPG one year. Fucking sick. I'm just not sure how to take this Kobe thing.. I never saw Wilt play but I've seen this now and it just seems like 46 shots is an awful lot, almost like he was purposely trying to score a ton regardless of what was happening with the score of the game. Maybe it's unfair to judge it like that, the rest of the team is a collection of "Couldn't care less" type of players and the Lakers were losing big at the half until Kobe turned it on. I dunno.. I'm a bit confused on how to take it.

Yeah...Wilt averaged over 50 ppg for an entire season. Also, one year he led the league in assists, just to prove a point

I don't get that, Blitz. The Lakers were down by 15-20 points at the half, Kobe cranked it up because he knew that was the only choice, and finished with 81. As far as I know, there's only one way to take that: fucking unreal.

There isn't even footage of that game where Chamberlain hit 100, so you can bet this one is gonna be replayed for years.

I was flipping through channels and ending up watching the last seven minutes. He really wasn't hogging the ball. Every time another Laker got the ball they knew how pathetic they were and would just give it to him. And when he got it he was pretty much unstoppable last night. I think I only remember seeing him miss two shots in that last seven minutes. Without what he did the Lakers would have lost so to say anything but that it was a great performance would be insane.
