How GOOD are the Seahawks?

This is just one of mny threads I'm probably going to make about the Super Bowl. I'm really wondering just exactly how good these 'Hawks are. I know they have the MVP in Alexander. I know Holmgren is a good coach. I know Hasselbeck has really come into his own. I know their D is pretty decent.

However, if you look at what they've done to get this far it doesn't scream "Wow!!".. Now, I know you play who you play, but they had 6 games against the Cards, Niners, and Rams.. all losing teams from their division. Then they played the Skins in the divisional round, a team that couldn't move the ball against a college defense. And then this week, they play a banged up Carolina Panthers team. People will say the Panthers looked good last week, but do I have to take the Bears seriously??

So I ask you.. and I'm not trying to say the 'Hawks aren't good.. Just wondering what you guys think of them.

Forget all of those. The real strength of this Seahawks team, more than anything else, is the offensive line. They're the guys opening ten-foot holes for Alexander, they're the guys giving Hasselbeck all the time he needs to find Jackson and the other receivers downfield, and they're the guys making Holmgren look like a genius.

Everyone praised the Colts offensive line all year, bar the Chargers game, but look what happened when a blitz-happy defense like the Steelers came to town. The Seahawks haven't faced a team anything like the Steelers all year, and somehow I just doubt they'll be able to withstand the pressure.

Well, I know Walter Jones is regarded as maybe the best OL in the league. I don't know to much about the rest of the line, but you're right.. the Steelers will blitz all day long. I think the 'Hawks will have their moments in the game but I'm going to have to take the Steelers to win it. I'll say final score 31-20 Steelers.

I don't like the seahawks, but being the a cowboy fan I dont like the Steelers. So GO HAWKS! IMO though, worst Superbowl ever. Hopefully the game will be good though, it should be close.
