What a game!!!

Holy shit, that might have been the best football game I've ever watched.

Blitz, I'm a believer now, and I'm sorry.

I don't think Texas would have won have won if the refs hadn't made a few obvious mistakes, like when Texas fumbled the ball in the 4th quarter but it was ruled an incomplete pass.

To be totally realistic, it's more than likely they would have scored a TD on that drive anyway, and less than likely Pino would have missed the XP.

That play takes nothing away from Texas's championship, as far as I'm concerned.

Wait, sorry, I misread your post.

Which fumble are you talking about? The one near the end of the game, where he was down?

I'm not saying that Texas didn't earn or deserve that victory, I just think there were a few big calls that the refs got wrong and may have cost USC the win.

Well I disagree. I can only think of a few missed calls, and I know at least one of them went USC's way. Near the end of the game, the refs really messed up with the clock as well, taking time from Young and the offense.

Yeah, that was an amzing performance by Vince Young. The 200 yards on the ground are impressive, but what impressed me more was his poise and the fact he went 30-40 in the passing game. Unbelievable. And Freak, you could still be right, he might not be great in the NFL but that performance he had tonight will live on forever in college football history.

Got to give it up to USC also. They played their hearts out and are great champions. Those two teams are both two of the best I've seen.

A lot of people will point to the 30-40 and say he was only efficient because they were such short passes, but that short passing game is where I feel he has a HUGE advantage on both Vick and McNabb, as far as their development at the same level. Both of those guys are still struggling with touch passes, but Young showed tonight how patient he is, and how well he can deliver that short pass right on target.

I think maybe my biggest concern with regards to him as an NFL QB is that his bread and butter is that shotgun read, where he takes a second or two to read the coverage, and decide whether to take off and run. It seems like whenever they ran that tonight, it was an easy 10-yard run, or an 11-yard pass. Obviously, that's a play that will not be NEARLY as effective against NFL defenses.

The draft just got a lot more complicated tonight, considering Young starred in high school in Houston, and the Texans might have some pressure on them to keep him around.

You think Young will leave? I think he'll actually hurt himself if he stays in college. There is no guy hotter than him right now. He was kinda lost this season.. People would hype up Bush and Leinhart to the moon. Hell, I even heard people hyping up DeAngelo Williams the other day as a "beast" to look out for in the draft. But now, Vince has the draft by the balls IMO. I don't care what he does at the combines, when people see a performance like that, you just have to be in awe of him and put your regular standardized tests aside. People will definitely want to take a chance on him as the next Vick or maybe even better.

I love this guy's style. The short passing game, he played exceptional at. His late game heroics. But his running style is amazing.. He's fast, but he's also so elusive. How many times did he make two or three people miss, or even run them over before he got tackled? He's like 6'5" 230. Freak of nature.

He has to go high in the draft.
