To bring a world perspective to it, Shane Warne is still a super athlete compared to others as may Flintoff eventually become.

I wish my sex life was like ECW, first you get a One Night Stand followed by 2 months of nostalgic orgasms and then 6 months of constant sucking.

To be fair, only one guy has ever scored 200 points in a season.

Well, like other people have mentioned already, the best golfer of all time is currently playing (Tiger), and it's very possible that LeBron James could end up being up there with Jordan and Chamberlain as the best basketball playes of all time. He's that good.

The interesting thing about baseball is that Babe Ruth has become such a legendary figure, and he was one of the country's first real superstar athletes, so somebody would have to be absolutely ridiculously good to surpass him in the eyes of the public. Plus, he was SO much better than the players of his time, that a player would need to hit like 200 homeruns to be as good as Ruth was, when compared to their contemporaries.

Have any of you American fans heard of a cricket player called Don Bradman (he was Australian).

I know, in baseball and the like, American sports fan like stats and stuff which is one way of showing in Cricket how one player was better than another (though not the only way).

Bradman recorded a test batting average of 99.9 in his career (which spanned a long time). You are basically considered a good test player if you average over 40. Over 50 and you're world class. Over 60 and you're amongst the best ever. I think the next one under Bradman was a South African called Graeme Pollock which was something like an average of 65.

Bradman was a player that stood absolutely strides and strides ahead of any other batsman in the sport ever.

Baseball is played and aired over in the UK though, right? Cricket isn't aired on TV over here and I don't think there are any organized teams(at least i've never seen or heard of any) and I bet most Americans have never even heard of cricket. I might be willing to give it a shot but I don't know of any way to actually watch a game.

Visit and shop for video games at my Amazon-based store, also get discounted HD DVDs while they last.

Well 199 is close enough with Mario :lick: I guess with the new rules things are changing a little. Like Spezza is on track to have a 147 point season. But I still don't see Gretzky having any records beat.
