If BC or Toronto had won last week I'd probably watch (if BC had won I'd definitely watch), and some friends and I were thinking of trying to go get tickets and attend the thing in Vancouver, but this matchup does nothing for me.

I don't want to sound stupid but the CFL sucks. If they are going to can the XFL they need to pull the plug on the CFL already. Canadians and football don't mix. Leave that to those American bastards.

I know the rules are different, but why don't the NFL and CFL just merge? The CFL only has 9 teams(I think), so just add in 3 or 4 of them and get rid of 2 NFL teams(like Arizona).

That's like asking why doesn't English Premiership soccer merge with MLS.

I'm obviously far more partial to the NFL, but the CFL has many redeeming qualities. The on-field product is actually a lot of fun to watch, and the rivalries are some of the best you'll find anywhere. Hell, I think the Grey Cup has been played for well over 100 years now, about three times longer than the Super Bowl has.

I just checked out info on the league at answers.com and found it interesting. I had no idea that for a few seasons they actually had American teams in the league, and that they had two teams with the same name(how the hell can a league with fewer than 10 teams have two with the same name?).

Ah yes, I remember when Baltimore was terrorizing the league for a season or two. They didn't even have a team name, they were just Baltimore! They wanted to be the Colts, but the NFL wouldn't let them, and I think they finally just settled on Stallions, right before the CFL kicked out all the American teams and Baltimore became Montreal.

I remember there was the Shreveport Pirates too, and maybe a team in San Antonio or something.
