| When TO was causing problems in SF, people thought he was just disgruntled, and he wouldn't be a problem once he got out and in to an organization he was happy with. Therefore, teams were still willing to pay him top dollar. Now that he's proven it wasn't a once-off thing, and that he is likely to be more of a liability than an asset no matter where he is, I doubt anyone will offer him anything that is close to what he thinks he is worth. They sure as hell won't give anything more than a one, or at most two year deal. Let's make this a prediction thread. Where do you think TO will play next year? I'll go with the Dallas Cowboys. If Bill Parcells can make things work with the original "Mr. Deactivated for the Remainder of the Season" then I imagine he could make things work with Owens as well. I would say the Raiders because they like to sign guys that are great on the field but miserable off it (Randy Moss, Bill Romanowski, etc.), but since they already have Moss, I don't see that happening. | ||||||||||||||

| Fans are speculating Al Davis would try to bring TO to Oakland, but these folks are forgetting that the Raiders have huge amounts of money already tied up in Moss and Jerry Porter. I'm sticking with Atlanta for my prediction, or possibly Miami (they took a flyer on David Boston, brought back Ricky). | |||||||||||||||

| Cowboys fans would have to forgive him for the stunt he pulled a few years back. Then again, Michael Irvin has shown TO so much support, they've probably lightened up about it. Either way, Eagles fans would probably be laughing if they saw Owens land in Dallas; the guy has proven he does more harm than good, no matter how unbelievable he is on the field. | |||||||||||||||

| Michael Irvin has been fun to watch on SportsCenter lately. Watching him try and defend TO is always good for a laugh. | ||||||||||||||

| He was still putting up solid numbers with McNabb. As long as it doesn't have an impact on the field then there is no harm being done. The only harm being done to the Eagles is by them being stupid and suspending him. Now they have the worst number one WR in all of the NFL :laugh11: | |||||||||||||||

What you fail to realize is that football, more than ANY other sport, is a team game. There are certain players that their teammates will elevate their game for (remember the game after Favre's father died, and the Packers recieveres were catching EVERYTHING, no matter how shitty the throw). Terrell Owens may put up great numbers, but it will be at the expense of the rest of the team. What T.O. fails to realize is that he's nothing without the person throwing him the ball (McNabb), the people protecting the QB (the offensive line), the person picking up blitzes (Westbrook), etc. None of these people will elevate their game for T.O. Now, if T.O. goes out of his way to dis McNabb in the media every time he gets a chance, you think McNabb is gonna take his game that extra level to get T.O. the ball? Not to mention the fact that in ANY other profession, T.O. would have been fired a loooooooong time ago. As for Douglas, he is a team employee, as well as a long-time Eagles player who is well-respected by the organization. He has every right to express his feelings, especially considering he was right (T.O. was, in fact, faking his injury) And for McNabb, he NEVER said anything bad about T.O. until after the team levied the suspension, and he took the company line and agreed with the team's decision. And, anything he said about T.O. is peanuts compared to what T.o. said about him | ||||||||||||||||
