Well, what do you guys think? Obviously being a Giants fan, my opinion is biased but I think they can make a run and get to the Super Bowl. Their offense is full of weapons and the defense is starting to round into shape. Their schedule gets tough here after the next two weeks, but if they can get past the 49ers and Vikings to get to 7-2 and then finish up 4-3, I think that'll be enough to win the NFC East. Once they get into the playoffs, the only teams they could have a hard time against in the playoffs would be Atlanta and Carolina.
The fact that this thread is even being made makes me giddy...
I think 9-7 will get them into the playoffs, 11-5 will not only win them the division, but also get them a first-round bye. After all, whoever wins the NFC North won't be better than 11-5, and I'm not sold on the Seahawks either.
So, assuming they beat the Niners and Vikings, they need two wins the rest of the way to make the playoffs, 3 to probably win the division, and 4 to wrap up the division and get a bye.
Their remaining schedule:
@ San Francisco
vs. Minnesota
vs. Philadelphia
@ Seattle
vs. Dallas
@ Philadelphia
@ Washington
vs. Kansas City
@ Oakland
If they can beat Seattle, that will really help them a lot.

The Giants are definately a contender this year. All the pieces really seem to be falling into place. I'm not sure if they're a SuperBowl team this year, however, though next year I could see them making a serious run.
D, I think you're right about the Seattle game being a key one on the G-Men's schedule.
It's funny b/c everyone I work with are Broncos fans and when the Giants came back to win, no one wanted to talk to me the next day. Of course I wore my Shockey jersey and hat into work just to rub it in. Then we turn around 1 week later and I'm rooting for the Broncos to beat Philly, and that's exactly what happened.
Yeah, the thing you have to look at is how much better they have gotten week after week. I knew if Manning was able to play at least halfway decent their offense could be really explosive. I'm not sold on the defense though, so while I think they are indeed a contender, I'm not sure I'd pick them to make it.
On a side note, somebody mentioned Carolina and Atlanta being the only teams that could beat them in the NFC. I disagree, I definitely think the Eagles will be around and be a tough out for anyone.
I know what you mean. I just have a lot of respect for that team, the players, and the coach. It wouldn't shock me if they turned it around and strung together 5 or 6 wins in a row.
T.O. is out this week, and maybe the week after...WOO HOO!!!!

Yet Andy Reed will still probably have his seriously injured QB throw 55 times to crappy receivers, while Westbrook sits in the backfeild reading a newspaper.
