| Dangit!!!! No more Theo !!! Not that anyone but me gives a crap, but Theo Epstein resigned today. Theo was the first general manager for the Red Sox to take them to the playoffs 3 years in a row. Damn. Looks like the teams interested are Washington, Seattle, Philly and a couple others. | |||||||||||||||

| They offered him plenty of money. It seems like Theo just wanted out of Boston, and possibly out of baseball, if only for a year or two. I wouldn't care too much if I was a Red Sox fan. Unless your name is Billy Beane, I don't think you're terribly irreplacable as a GM. | ||||||||||||||

| True, especially if you have a payroll the size of Boston's or New Yorks. I just have a hard time appreciating the job an Epstein or Cashman can do when they have practically unlimited resources. Now you make a small market team a contender like Billy Beane or Mark Shapiro then we'll talk about great GMs. | ||||||||||||||
