Not at all. I've been a fan since 1988. Hawks rule. I think they will surprise you and everyone else this year.

Very cool. I've been a fan since I was a kid as well. I honestly don't expect much from them though.

Still riding the White Sox wave right now...will deal with the miserable realities that are the Bears and Hawks in a couple weeks.

I can respect that, you follow your team no matter what. My buddy out here is a Red Wings fan and its usually an adventure when we go to the UC for a game since he wears a Wings leather jacket lol.

I just figured since you were Canuck it was odd you being a Hawks fan, was just curious is all.

Really? I always thought the Hawks jersey was one of the better sellers as far as merchandise goes, so more places would have them. Guess thats what the internet's for, eh?

Either way, I miss the Roenick/Larmer/Goulet/Smith/Chelios days, with Belfour in the net. Still can't believe we didn't win one Cup with those guys, we had our chances.

I don't follow hockey like I used to though. Between the Hawks sucking due to incompetent management (Dollar Bill Wirtz et al) and then last year, I just haven't gotten up for it.

Yeah man, they had a solid team when I first got on board. They almost did it in 1992. I haven't been as hopeful as I am about this year though. They have new players, new coachs, things should be good.

They also came close in 96, the year Colorado won their first Cup. Amonte got injured (on what I STILL consider a cheap shot) in the middle of the semis against them and missed the rest of the series, the Hawks couldn't recover from his absence.
